4-tert-Butylbenzoic acid (PTBA) is a colorless needle-shaped crystal or crystalline powder. It is a derivative of benzoic acid and an important organic synthesis intermediate. Its main uses are: (1) as an improver in the production of alkyd resins; (2) as a chemical book cutting oil and lubricant additive; (3) as a polypropylene nucleating agent; (4) its barium salt, sodium salt, zinc salt, etc. can be used as a stabilizer for polyvinyl chloride; (5) as a food preservative; (6) as a regulator for polyester polymerization, etc.

4-tert-Butylbenzoic acid is a colorless needle-shaped crystal or crystalline powder, and is an important organic synthesis intermediate. 4-tert-Butylbenzoic acid is mainly used in the production of alkyd resin modifiers, cutting oils, lubricant additives, polypropylene nucleating agents, and stabilizers. Using 4-tert-Butylbenzoic acid to modify alkyd resin can improve the initial gloss, increase the durability of color and gloss, and accelerate the drying time. It has excellent chemical resistance and soap water resistance. Using the amine salt of this product as an oil additive can improve working performance and prevent rust. When used as a stabilizer, its barium salt, sodium salt, zinc salt, etc. are used.
