Organic synthesis intermediates, also used in pesticides. This product is very promising as a photosensitizer for ultraviolet curing resin (UV resin). Biphenoyl has a wide range of ultraviolet sensitization wavelengths. The benzoin is below 3400A, and the benzoin alkyl ether is below 3900A. However, biph enyl acyl is below 4800A and can be sensitized in a wide wavelength range, so it can be used for the curing of thick film resins, which is a feature not previously available in UA resin sensitization. And there is no smell after curing, so it is suitable for making printing inks for food packaging, etc.
