Ferric pyrophosphate is an inorganic salt with the molecular formula of FE4 (o7p2) 3. It is yellow-white to yellowish-brown powder, odorless, slightly iron taste. The solution is a white to yellowish emulsion. It is obtained by the reaction of ferric chloride solution and sodium pyrophosphate solution. Used as an iron fortifier in foods such as milk powder.
